How Do I Become an APF Member?

You automatically become a member when you complete an application for Student Membership prior to your first skydive.

There are other avenues to APF Membership, for example, if you have moved from overseas and have brought your qualifications with you.

Select one of the Membership Forms below or contact the APF Office to assist you with completing the correct forms.

There are several APF Membership options or classes to choose from.

Student Membership

Available for:

Not Available For:

• Visiting parachutists holding qualifications outside the APF system

• Licensed members renewing

The initial Student Membership registration is valid until the end of the month purchased, plus 2 more months. (As examples, a card signed 01/03/11 is valid until 31/05/11. A card signed on 28/2/11 is valid until 30/4/11)

Full Membership (or Part Year)

Available For:

• APF Licensed Members

• Parachutists who hold qualifications outside of the APF system requiring full membership

• Entitles the holder to apply for APF Certificates, Crests & Display Licenses, APF Instructor, Tutor, Packer, Rigger Ratings
• Membership will run through to end June only (financial year)

Short Term Membership

Available For:

• Parachutists who hold qualifications outside of the APF system NOT requiring Full Membership (Short visit, Boogies etc)

• Entitles the holder to apply for APF Certificates, Display Licence D only

Not Available For:

• Not for renewing licenced APF members, including Students

• Does not entitle the holder to apply for APF Instructor, Tutor, Packer or Rigger Ratings or any other licence

Current fees are:

$30 One calendar month

$60 Two calendar months

$90 Three calendar months

$120 Six calendar months

Membership Renewal

Available For:

• For renewing APF Members (APF Certificate Holders) including Life Membership Renewal

Membership Form M1

Is available at 20 times the current annual non-discounted fee.

Life Membership infomation

Associate Membership

Available for:

• ASM subscription only

Not Available For:

• Does not provide Jumping, Voting or Insurance privileges

Membership Form M1

Available For:

• ONLY available for Students at the end of the Student Membership validity date

Not Available For:

• Not available once the holder of an APF Certificate

• Not for visiting parachutists who hold qualifications outside of the APF system

• Not for renewing licenced APF Members
