Although several Team Member have switched over the years, mention should have been made that the EARLY OPENERS's first success was in Australia at the 1st WPC of CRW, earning the Bronze Medal in 1986, following up with their Silver Medal consolation prize (robbed of Gold) at the 2nd WPC in Vichy, France in 1988, before achieving their victory in 1990.

Jean served the WA Council since 1977, holding the joint position of Secretary Treasurer for more than 20 years. In addition, Jean acted as a Judge for National and State competitions throughout the 1970's, 1980's and early 1990's. Jean established the foundations for the WA Council in its relationship with the WA Department of Sport and Recreation and worked tirelessly and often without acknowledgement to ensure that the Council and skydiving competitors gained funding. Along with her husband Clive, Jean guided the Council and its members and provided the memory and history of the Council for the past 27 years. |

Clive is now acknowledged for his tireless commitment to the service of the WA Council. For 29 years Clive has not only trained a large number of the more senior jumpers in WA but he has also held almost every position on the WA Council at least once. Clive has acted as a mentor and guide to many jumpers and Council members as well as being, along with his wife Jean, the memory of the Council. |
